WHO WE ARE

My name is Susan Guerrero. My husband Joe Guerrero and I began a quest to purchase land in Huerfano County from where his family came.

We expected to purchase 5 acres but God had different plans. Miracle of miracles and with the help of family and friends we purchased 160 acres next door to Lathrop State Park.

Long story short we established Mountain Lakes Ministry and a new vision began to take form. We are still under development but began ministering to the people in this area.

We found that there are many people in need of help yet as in God’s creation there is a delicate balance in helping others. On the one hand in giving a helping hand compassion is needed. On the other hand discipline is needed to give a hand up, sometimes physical, sometimes spiritual, being sensitive to the direction of the Holy Spirit.

We never know what that looks like, only that we trust Holy Spirit guidance. It’s never what we expect. It is like a seed planted in the dirt. You may think it will not sprout and amazingly it does! You may not even know what it will become or if it will survive. But just like this delicate plant, God has made us more resilient than we think possible!
